What type of Robotics are there/ and what areas are they used for;
There are many different types of robotics these days and most robots are now designed with special qualities that are primary tasks and the functions of the robot. Each robot does something different and if it doesn’t, they usually look different. NO robot is the same. Here is a list of some different robotics and what areas they are used for.
- Mobile robots – These types of robots can do many tasks like search an area (e.g. Mars Explorer is used to search the areas of Mars.)
- Autonomous Robots – This type of robot can support itself without relying on other people.
- Remote-control Robots – These robots can perform the task with the help of someone controlling it. The robot can perform the difficult task while the human does not have to be in the danger area. It is also helpful because it can detonate a bomb and it will be much safer.
- Virtual Robots – Virtual robots are not in the real life instead they are robots inside a program to help build blocks of programming software. It can also help out simulate a real robot or even perform just a repeating task of a robot.
- BEAM Robots – The BEAM robot is aa very simple and suitable robot. (Great for starters) They are made from hobbyists. BEAM stands for Biology, Electronics, Aesthetics and Mechanics Robot.
