WHY DOES THE ROBOT REPLACE SURGEONS?

This robot is used instead of humans because surgeons find that the procedure is more accurate when completing the surgery. Patients have told surgeons that they have noticed that they have less blood loss, pain, and less noticeable scars after going through the surgery. This robot is used instead of humans (although surgeons control it manually) because surgeons aren’t exposed from the radiation when completing the procedure. The surgeons are in a separate room from the patient. Instead of the surgeon having to be exposed/having the exposure of the radiation, it is the robot that is being replaced. Some people believe that the robot has an automated system that allows the robot to complete a full heart surgery on its own. False. As I mentioned before the robot is controlled manually by using small toggles. Every time the surgeon moves the toggle either left, right, forwards, backwards, up, or down the small tube that is inserted into the patient will move 1mm. So you can imagine how long this procedure would take. Surgeons rotate on the robot due to the lengthy procedure. The Surgeons rotate because they can't afford to make a single mistake throughout the duration of the surgery. Surgeons concentration levels and awareness have to be spot on, so no accidents occur. For example accidentally piercing the patients heart. The procedure takes an approximate 4-5 hours to complete.
